The Business Manager is responsible for all finance and business operations of the organisation including the areas of: Financial and Asset management, human resource management, information technology, payroll and administration. The successful applicant will assist in guiding the future development of the organisation in collaboration with the CEO and the Board.

This position reports directly to the CEO of Anglicare, and is a member of the executive.

Anglicare is seeking applications from Youth Workers to work in residential services. Positions are available at three services, two in Cairns and one on the Tablelands. These services provide accommodation and intensive support for young people with needs that range from moderate (Transitional Housing Program) to complex (Biboohra responsive placement service) and extreme (St Luke’s responsive placement service). 

These positions require applicants to provide direct care and supervision of residents with their daily living routine including cooking, nutritional planning, and household management; using defined programs to support Residents.

To apply you will need relevant tertiary qualifications in social work; community welfare or behavioural sciences and/or highly developed knowledge, experience and skills in working with young people with moderate to complex needs.

The Cairns Homelessness Service Hub is an organisation under the auspices of Anglicare North Queensland Ltd, which aims to maximise access to housing and broader services by people who are homeless.

Applicants for this position will need a tertiary qualification in human services and/or relevant experience in human service provision and staff supervision. Prior experience working within the homelessness/housing sector is desirable. A well developed understanding of homelessness from a social justice perspective and well developed collaborative and interpersonal skills are required.
